Well, seminar one is in the can (if you are old enough to get the reference) and a few more bugs popped up regarding the recording. However, it *looks* like we have wrangled that problem into submission and all lessons learned will be applied to the following seminars, and the next set of seminars.
We are sliding into winter here and the huge benefit of that is the reduction in the wildfires. Lower temperatures and a bit more moisture, here where I live, is actually welcome in this household, at least.
As some of you know I’ve been struggling with my body for some time, but this week all the work that we have been doing (I absolutely include my therapists in the ‘work’ part) seems to be starting to pay off. I am a long ways away from where I would like to be, but I may never make it there, given the miles on the odometer. As people keep telling me, aging bodies don’t heal as well, or function as well, as younger bodies. (Dammit.)
But the past few days I have felt ‘changes’ happening. I was reluctant to claim that those changes were positive, but I hoped that they would lead to positive outcomes. Today is really the first day when I can look at my body, feel it behaving slightly ‘better’, and in the autumn of the year (because it is autumn here) I wonder if at last, I can look forward to next spring. Improved.
In the meantime I am learning to demand less of this body, at least until is it more recovered than it currently is. However, I managed to get through the 2 hours, and I only ‘froze’ a couple of times so I count that a ‘win’. And some of you have been kind enough to say that the seminar was interesting and helpful. So, I count that as a win, too.
Zoom announced some changes to their offerings and I contacted Zoom support and ‘talked’ to an AI assistant, and got answers to my questions that lead me to believe that the changes will not affect the seminar series.
After the lessons learned so far, I am hopeful that I can do them again, most likely with the same format, with the same registration process (with minor tweaks) and likely the same pricing. Unless Zoom ups their prices, and then I will have to re-visit.
So, those of you enrolled in this go round, if you find the series of value, when I announce the next series for the new year, I hope I can count of you to spread the word.
Today’s featured photo is mature cotton fibre still on the plant, ready for harvesting. It has always amused me that medieval illustrations show cotton plants as having little sheep growing on them, but honestly? If you squint, you can sort of ‘see’ the tiny sheep?
